The main objective of the ECYSAP project is to develop and implement of innovative theoretical foundations, methods and research prototypes integrated towards providing a European operational platform for enabling high maturity real-time Cyber Situational Awareness (CSA) for military end-users, capable of cyber response, automated and deployable in the same area of operations (National/European) interconnected between envisaged and identified intelligent nodes.
On July 4th, the ECYSAP project held its Estonian Demonstrator event in Madrid. This event was organized by Estonia (CYB) and featured in-person attendance from representatives of ACS, LDO, CYB, IND, and the Ministries of Defense (MoDs) from Spain and Italy. Remote participation included members from France.
The event provided a comprehensive demonstration of the project’s advancements and capabilities, marking a significant milestone in the project's timeline.
ECYSAP, the European Cyber Situational Awareness Platform, is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at enhancing cyber defence across Europe by implementing methodologies for Situational Awareness. Funded by the European Defence Industrial Development Programme (EDIDP), ECYSAP focuses on developing a modular and integrated platform for cyber defence operations.
The project emphasizes real-time situational awareness, rapid threat response, and robust decision-making support for military operations, ensuring a fortified defense mechanism against cyber threats.
As part of the timeline developed for the project demonstrations are held periodically to show the progress and capabilities of the project. On this occasion the Estonian Demonstrator was held, led by Cybernetica and carried out at INDRA's facilities in Madrid, Spain
During the Estonian Demonstrator, the advanced capabilities of the ECYSAP platform were showcased. The event highlighted several use cases demonstrating real-time cyber situational awareness, rapid defensive responses, and enhanced decision support for military operations.
These demonstrations underscored the platform’s ability to provide a comprehensive view of cyber threats and effective coordinated responses.
The event marked a pivotal step in strengthening European Cyber Defence, showcasing the collaborative efforts and innovations driving the ECYSAP project forward.
